Why I Created “Anastasia”
I created “Anastasia” because something deep inside me was stirred by the memory of that animated movie I loved as a child. It wasn’t just the fairytale — it was the feeling of a lost identity, of searching for where you belong, of hearing whispers from the past saying, “you are loved, you are remembered.”
When I wrote this song, I wasn’t just writing lyrics; I was opening a window into the parts of myself that long for connection, memory, and truth. The music became a bridge between my past and present, between the landscapes of my home in Vonitsa and the emotional landscapes inside me.
What I felt while creating it was a mix of nostalgia, sadness, but also wonder — as if I was dancing with old shadows, but also inviting light back into places that had been quiet for too long. This song is not just about the character Anastasia; it’s about the parts of all of us that search for home, for belonging, for the moments when we feel seen.
For the creation of “Anastasia,” I used Suno AI to compose the music, generating both the instrumental base and the emotional tone I wanted. The lyrics (both Greek and English) were written by me, shaped carefully to match the mood and the visuals.
For the visual side, I filmed original drone footage using DJI Air 2S and DJI Avata 2 — capturing the landscapes of Vagia for the Greek version and the lakes of Linovrohia, Vonitsa, for the English version. All footage was edited by me using Adobe Premiere, where I synchronized the imagery with the song, adjusting color grading and pacing to match the emotional flow.
This was a fully independent project — concept, writing, music creation, drone filming, and editing were all handled personally by me, blending technology with personal inspiration.
